2. Dialogue: The First day of school
Presentation
1. Show a picture of our school. Look, what’s this? It’s my school.
2. show a picture of a boy and put it on the picture and tell a story like this.
It was the first day of school. Tom was a new student. He was new here. He went into the school gate. When he looked at the playground, he said: “ Oh, so big.” But he could not find his classroom. And some students were kindly to show him the location of the classroom, the office ,the library, the hall and the toilet. Tom was very happy. Because he had many new friends.
3. Play the cassette, introduce the following things: school, classroom, hall, toilet, office, playground, library, using the pictures.
And ask students to repeat the new words
4. (Play the cassette again.) Pair work: Point, ask and answer on page 25
5. Game: show a picture of a school, but many parts of the school are covered with white paper. Encourage the students to guess what’s under the paper by using “Is this the ____?” If they are right ,just remove the paper.
