A study on proliferation and apoptosis of Peyer ’s patches
and its lymphocytes in experimental terminal ileitis
Abstract
Objectives
The study operate ileum -caecum side-to-side intestinal anastomosis to
stablish the Terminal Ileitis experimental animal model, observe the changes
of Peyer’s patches and its lymphocytes in experimental terminal ileitis; Explore
the role of Peyer’s patches and its lymphocytes in the pathogenesis of Terminal
Ileitis, and provide some guidance for its the clinical diagnosis and treatment.
Methods
Clean level SD rats were selected and divided into model group 、suture group
and control group randomly, 30 rats each. Then treat ileum-caecum side-to-side
intestinal anatomists operation 、suture in terminal ileum and nothing done
respectively. Two 、four and eight weeks later, kill these bats in batches. Finally get
the terminal ileum to observe its pathological changes 、proliferation and apoptosis of
PP and its lymphocytes, analyze the results in addition.
Results
1. The ileum end histopathological changes: After operation, the model group
terminal ileum mucosa were mainly infiltrated with neutrophils at 2 weeks, and
lymphocytes began to take the place of the neutrophils at 4 weeks, while at 8weeks
the mucosa were mainly infiltrated with lymphocytes.

2. the changes of Peyer s patches and its lymphocytes:
2.1 PP and lymphocyte number and total collection lymph node changes: The
number of PP and PP lymphocytes notably increased in model group at 2 、4 weeks （P2
周 ＜0.05 、P4周 ＜0.01 ）, but little increased at 8 weeks （P8周 ＞0.05 ）; PP and changes
of the total number of lymphocytes and PP number is similar.
