Abstract With the development of electricity industry and IT technologies, energy management system (EMS) in various power systems has been widely applied. Moreover, due to the current power system development, the needs of EMS in the traditional power system can not meet the growing demands. To address the problem, the IEC61970 series standards were produced. CIM is its main content，and is an abstract model based on object-oriented technology, which unified the Power Information Model, EMS is achieved in the application software plug and play and seamless link basis.
