Analysis of the Teaching Material This unit is about transportation, it talks about how to get to places. Besides the new words and phrases, Students should grasp how , how long and how far questions. They must know how to ask and answer these questions. Meanwhile, in period4, the passage tells us about children’s school life in some poor villages, which will encourage our students to treasure study more. = 2 \* ROMAN \* MERGEFORMAT II.Analysis of students Most students come from rural areas. They are quite different from the students in cities. Some of them are not active in study, they dont have a good English studying habit. Its difficult for them to learn English well. For teachers, its very important to guide them to improve their reading skills and help them to form a good studying habit.. = 3 \* ROMAN \* MERGEFORMAT III.Teaching Aims Demands: 1. Knowledge objects Vocabularies: cross,river,village,between,bridge,boat,ropeway, year,afraid,like,villager,leave,dream,true Phrases: between...and, come true Sentences: For many students, it is easy to get to school. There is no bridge and the river runs too quickly for boats. So these students go on a rope way to cross the river to school. One 11-year-old boy, Liang liang, crosses the river every day. I love to play with my classmates. It is their dream to have a bridge. 2. Ability objects  (1). To develop the students’abilities of reading,writing,listening and speaking.  (2). To train the students’ ability of retelling stories. 3. Moral objects  (1) Make students be interested in study through different teaching methods.  (2) to treasure what they have and try to help others. Key points: Be able to use words, phrases and sentences.
