ABSTRACT: Middle low voltage power system can emerge 0
over-voltage due to ferroresonance caused by the
electromagnetic voltage transformer saturation. This paper
proposed a ferroresonance suppression method based on the (voltage transformerTV)
flexible control of zero-sequence voltage. In this method, a TV
zero-sequence current is injected into the power system by an
TVTV
active inverter, which absorbs the zero-sequence transient
energy and releases the extra charge of the capacitors between [1-2]
power lines and the ground, thus ultimately eliminates the
ferroresonance. The suppression of sub-harmonic
ferroresonance, fundamental ferroresonance and high-
frequency ferroresonance was simulated respectively, which
showed that with the proposed method, the distribution system
can be forced out from ferromagnetic resonance state and the
zero-sequence voltage can be restrained to zero with only a
short-time injection of zero-sequence current.
