Des Des i gn and l mp l ement of‘WebG I S Based on D i gMap Cont r o I l e r Abstract In the highly developed network and informationization days，WebGIS has been the important research aspect of GIS． With the deVelopment of computer software、 hardware and web techn0109y， the technology of WebGIS also become more and more perfect． The main companies of GIS software have developed the WebGIS platforms to meet the requirement of different regions and different purposes．As GIS software deVeloped independently， it will be necessary to realize the interrelated techn0109y of DigMap for WebGIS development and appl ication． This research takes the application of DigMap contr011er in the web setting as an entrance to analyze the problem for DigMap contr011er application on the web． Its web application could be implemented by the development of IObjectSafety interface and the conversion of complex parameter． Then， by analys i s and compari son of measures of WebGIS implement， the way about how to construct WebGIS system in this research is brought forward，that is，to construct WebGIS system of client pattern based on DigMap controller．The alternation between client and serVer is caught out by Ajax technique． The map data i s provided by Web SerVice． The HTML pages based DigMap contr011er and other interrelated fi les could be created by the development of DigMapWeb． In the end， take the WebGIS system of Shannxi eco—environment as an application example to concretely account for the WebGIS framework based on DigMap controller． The 109ic 1ayer of the system i s how to real i ze the data asynchronous transfer and alternation alternation by Ajax technique and how to decrease the data quantity on the net in the largest degree to improve the speed of web browse． The advantage of this way to realize WebGIS is also expatiated in this thesis． The WebGIS implement based on DigMap controller is a function upgrade for DigMap controller，and also extends the application of DigMap softwa
