In 1942 two members of Christopher Columbus (哥伦布)ships team found aborigines smoking ,one of them tried . He become the first smoker in Europe How did the word “cigarette”come? In 1518 Spainist made the tobacco roll up and made the first roll smoke . In 1843 one French business man set up first factory to make this new thing .He called it “cigarette” in French .Then the word also was used in English. Now the type of the cigarette is more and more abundant .Here I will give you some examplem: flue-cured tobacco 烤烟 White Burley 白肋烟 electric cigarette 电子烟 Now in our country there are more than 300000000 smokers .This number is the 1/3 of the smokers in the world . Another trouble is that the teenager who smoke is more and more .In the 13 million teenager ,there are about 1.5 million smoker . The cigarette is unhealthy Why the cigarette is unhealthy ? Now let us know some ingredients of the cigarette : Nicotine 尼古丁:More than 40 grams it can make a man die Tar 焦油 :This is a harmful carcinogen (致癌物） Benzene 苯 :It is also a carcinogen. Lead 铅: It can make you be poisoning . Cadmium 镉: It is harmful to you liver . Potassium nitrate 硝酸钾: It is harmful to you heart .It can make you get cardiopathy （心脏病） Now you can know the cigarette is a poison. There are about 100000 people died due to the cigarette From this introduction We can see ,the cigarette have a long history .but it is bad to our healthy It can make the harmful hurt to us.
