M ethods: The w ild frogs and snakeswere caught from Guiyang, Anshun, H uishui, Zhijin and Shuicheng, dissected the specmi en and identified sparaganum by m icroscope, then analysed the data. Results: Among 4888 frogs exam ined, 18. 04% ( 882/4 888) were infected w ith sparganum in the range of 1 to 41worms per affected frog; while among 104 snakes checked, 25 snakeswere infected, w ith an infection rate of 24. 04% ( 25/104). The rang were 1 to 212worms per affected snake. The in- fection rate of the Zaocys dhumnades and the Elaphe carinata is the highest. Conclusion: The sparga- nosismansoni ismainly relatedw ith the high infection rate of frog and snake plerocercoids in Guizhou.
