Communication University of China Communication University of China is the most active and innovative university in China and one of the most famous institutions of higher learning. CUC was established during the 1950s. It is located in the National Capital Beijing, China, about 14 kilometers east of Tiananmen Square. The university has over 7000 students in campus, almost 3 in 4 students are from all corners. It consists of 27 colleges. Of the colleges, it seems that the majority of them prefer girls rather than boys, as only a small number of boys can be admitted to some colleges. At CUC, each college is governed by its own head and fellows who are actually in the charge of CUC. So we can safely reach a conclusion that the university is the highest administrative and teaching authority. Only after the students who applied to CUC got the admission from both the university and related colleges can they have rights to study there and chances to earn degrees. The CUC provides two libraries，a few laboratories related to communication，and other facilities，but each college are required to take the primary responsibility for both teaching and well-being of the students. Each student will be assigned to a tutor，who supervises his learning basically through tutorials and guides his living in CUC. The freshmen are always required to attend some specified courses in the first year of college. But for the upper classmen，they choose which lectures to attend on the basic of their own special interests and on the advice of their tutors. Since the establishment of the university，variety of scholarship programs have been implemented. However, the competition for scholarships and grants，actually，extremely strong. Furthermore， there are also different kinds of strict requirements for the students.
