无损数据压缩技术研究 摘要 近年来，随着计算机技术的发展，数据压缩技术的研究受到人们越來越多的关 注。尤其是多媒体技术的兴起与信息通信技术的发展，更加促进了有关理论和技术 的硏究与开发并使之应用于工程实践。数据压缩技术在数据的存储、传输以及有效、 快速获取信息方面的作用越来越来明显。 本文首先分析了数据压缩技术研究的意义，以及该技术的发展与现状。接着对 几种常见的压缩算法进行了 了解，选择了 LZW压缩算法进行数据的压缩，它的基 本原理是采用了一种先进的串表压缩，把每一个第一次出现的字符串放入串表中， 并用一个数字来表示，压缩文件只存贮数字，而不存贮串，从而达到数据压缩的目 的。本文采用VB语言进行编程，通过Visual basic 6.0软件设计平台设计的LZW数 据压缩软件，经过测试，确实达到了数据压缩的目的。 关键词：数据压缩，LZW算法，无损压缩，VB Research of lossless data compression technology Abstract In recent years, with the development of computer technology, data compression technology has been taken more and more attention. In particular the rise of multimedia technology and the development of information and communication technology, to promote more on the theory and technology research and development and applied engineering practice.
