—A —AReport E-C—Translationof—the E—xcerpts ofthe Contract For the Design and Construction ofPhilippine Tunnel NO．4 摘要 随着经济全球化的推进，国际间的经济交流活动更加频繁，而国际间的一切 经济活动都离不开互相制约的合同。合同在国际经济交流中作用尤为突出，同时 也对合同的翻译的准确性提出了更高的要求。合同的类型多种多样，而工程施工 合同就是其中应用十分广泛的一种。本文以作者的翻译实践(一万多字的工程合 同英译中翻译)为例，以奈达动态对等理论为基础，探讨工程旖工合同的翻译特 点和原则，以及分析在翻译中遇到一系列难点，包括工程施工合同中近义词，古 体词，情态动词方面词语表达的翻译，以及长难句型和被动语句的句子翻译。同 时在翻译该工程施工合同中，作者采取相应的翻译策略和翻译技巧，并通过翻译 实例来说明直译，省译，词性转化，调整语序，被动句翻译以及句子的组合与拆 分这些翻译策略和方法是如何解决翻译中的困难，力求使译文满足奈达动态理论 中提出的四点要求，即译语信息和原文信息基本相同，传达原文的精神和风格， 译文通畅，符合译语规范和表达习惯，读者反映类似。并在不断的翻译练习中最 终实现提高工程施工合同翻译能力之目的。最后在工程合同翻译实践中总结经验， 希望能为同行提供一些参考。 关键词：动态对等理论：工程施工合同：翻译难点；翻译策略； II 万方数据 硕士学位论文Abstract 硕士学位论文 Abstract With the development of economic globalism，it is becoming increasingly frequently for the economic exchange activities to spread all over the world． And those activities could not be conducted successfully without the restriction of contract．There are various types of contract，among which the engineering construction contract is a widely used one．Based on the writer’S personal translation practice，an English—Chinese translation text of engineering construction contract over ten thousands characters，the thesis，from the perspective of dynamic equivalence theory，discusses the principle and characteristic of engineering translation as well as a series of difficulties and problems appeared in the process of translation，such as the translation of technical terms，parallel synonyms，modal verbs，archaic words，long and complex sentences and passive sentences．In order to solve the difficulties of translation and realize the equivalence between the target and original text both in the content and format，the writer adopts corresponding translation methods and strategies，including literal translation，omission，conversion， aajustment of word order，division and combination of sentence reconstruction， and pays more attention to study how to translate passive voice．During the process of translation，the writer of this report stri
