Students can understand and use the sentences: “Look at that giraffe.” “It’s so tall.” “It’s short and fat.” Students can describe the animals according to the words: fat, thin, short, tall. Students can read the dialogue and act out the dialogue with their partners. Teaching important: Understand the dialogue and act out the dialogue. Teaching difficult point: Use the sentence “It’s so ...”to describe the animals or the different people according to the pictures. Teaching procedures: Step1: Warming up Revision : (1)Greeting: T: Good morning, boys and girls. How are you? Nice to meet you! (2).Oral English: T: What’s your name? How old are you ! What’s this? (3)Review the words: fat, short, tall, thin. T: Look at this girl. Is she tall or short? 教师通过在日常会话交流中引出四个形容词。 (4).Let’s do together :P25 T: Class stand up. Do the action with Amy. Be fat . Be fat. Be fat ,fat, fat. Be thin. Be thin. Be thin, thin ,thin. Be tall. Be tall. Be tall, tall, tall. Be short. Be short .Be short ,short, short. Step2. Presentation: (1)呈现图片 : the monkey, the panda, the giraffe, a little girl. T: What ’s this ? Can you guess?(教师利用聚光灯把焦点聚集在动物的一小部分让学生猜动物,逐渐揭示答案) S: It’s a monkey . T: Look at that monkey . Is it fat? S: No, it isn’t. T: It’s thin. 用同样的方式将图片引出,一般疑问句询问学生动物的基本体形特征 (2).注意让学生理解so的含义。 T:Here are two men. Who is he ? And who is he? Ss: He is Yao Ming. And he is Li Lianjie. T: Look at Yao Ming. He is tall. He is so tall. Look at Mr. Li. He is short . He is so short. Students make sentences with the word “so” to describe the pig and the apple. (3).出示教学挂图,学生观看动画视频。回答问题再核对答案。 Who is tall ? Who is short and fat? Step3. Practice: (1). Watch the flash again ; read the dialogue according to the tape. (2).Read the dialogue by themselves.(学生自由朗读) (3). One student act as a guide to read.
