The teaching plan for unit 3 “how do you get to school?”

Teaching aims and demands:
1)Knowledge objects
Words and phrases: take the bus/ walk/ get to school/ ride a bike…
Target languages: how do you get to school? /how long does it take? /howfar….?
2) Ability objects
I’ll mainly train students’ listening, speaking, reading and writing skills.
3)Moral objects
By learning this lesson, students will know what the low carbon level is and know how hard the students in the mountains get to school, then learn to cherish everything they have now.
Teaching keys and difficulties:
I think the focus of this lesson is to revise the important phrases and target languages and help students to communicate with each other using them.The difficulty is to report how they get to school using an article.
Teaching methods:
I’ll use the task-based teaching method, situation communicative method cooperative learning method, multimedia teaching method and so on to arouse students’interest.
Teaching procedures:
Step 1. Warming up
The teacher and students greet each other. Then let students play a guessing game-what’s it? (show sounds of transportation by video.) After this , the teacher will encourage students to guess
what the teacher’s favorite transportation means to work is.
Step 2. Presentation
When students guess, the teacher won’t give them her answers, instead of encourage them to listen to a report and find the answers from it. At the same time,the teacher will present target languages.
Step 3. Practice
After guessing and listening , the teacher will ask ss “what’s your favorite transportation means to school?,” then students will talk about their favorite transportation means using the target languages.
Step 4. Before reading
When students finish talking, the teacher will say “maybe,it’s easy for you to go to school. But for the students in the mountains, is it easy for them to go to scho
