Period 1 Section A (1a—1c)教学设计 海南省澄迈县永发初级中学 曾德暖 一、教学内容分析 本单元的中心话题是“Describe animals and express preferences”（描述动物和表达个人喜好）。主要是通过学习动物名称和常见的有关描述动物的形容词，学会表达个人对动物的喜好；学会运用why, what, where引导的问句，了解动物的外形、生活习性及主要产地，并能运用英语简单描述自己喜欢的动物，进一步培养和激发热爱动物、保护动物、维护生态平衡的朴素情怀。本节课是本单元的第一课时，主要学习一些动物名称的名词和描写动物特征的形容词，学会运用所学词汇和句型描述动物，表达个人喜好并陈述原因。 二、学情分析 大多数学生来自农村，他们在小学阶段没有学习过英语，而是从七年级才开始学习，起点低，底子薄，但是学生的学习兴趣浓，对于学习英语，他们既感到好奇，又担忧，希望能得到他人的肯定。因此，在教学中，我创设有效的情境，鼓励学生积极参与课堂活动，敢于开口说英语，让学生体验到成功的喜悦，增强学习的信心。 三、教学目标 知识目标 1. 掌握表示动物的名词和描写动物特征的形容词：panda, zoo, tiger, elephant, koala, lion, giraffe, animal, cute, lazy, smart, beautiful。 2. 学习表达理由的句子： ---Why do you want to see them? ---Because they’re cute/ beautiful/interesting. 能力目标 1. 能用所学语言描述动物的基本特征。 2. 能够谈论自己喜好的动物并陈述原因。 情感目标 通过让学生描述动物的基本特征和谈论自己喜好的动物并陈述原因，来激励学生爱护动物，了解自然，进而学会保护动物，关心他人，体会到保护环境的重要性。 教学重点 表示动物的名词和描写动物特征的形容词。 教学难点 学会运用Why…提问原因，用because…表达理由。 三、教学准备 T: A tape recorder，PPT Ss: 搜索有关动物的图片 四、教学过程 Step 1 Greetings and warming up T: Do you like listening to music? Let’s listen to a song and tell me what it is about. Step 2 Presentation T: What’s the song about? Ss: ... T: Do you like animals? Can you tell me some? T: Where do animals usually live? Step 3?Present the new words 1. T: Today we are going to learn the names of animals. We’ll also learn how to say which ones we like and tell why we like them. (point to a panda) What’s this?
