Lead-in (6 min) Create a situation in which a friend of mine sends me an e-mail and shares some pictures with me in Thailand; Tell the students that what interests me most is the elephants; Show some pictures about elephants---They can do a lot of things; Ask students to list some things elephants can do and what they think of them. (smart, cute, cool…) Step 2. Pre-reading Presentation (6 min) Show a picture of a crying elephant named Eric (as smart as other animals) on the screen and then play a short video about Eric and ask students to guess why the elephant is crying (in danger, lost his ivory…); Step 3.
