UNIT 3 How do you get to school The analysis of the textbook: This unit is mainly talking about how to get somewhere. The learners have already known well some words about transportations. By studying this part, Students can learn how to describe the way of getting somewhere properly. They would like to study this unit, because learning this topic helps them a lot in daily life. And during this lesson, the students can also improve their listening and speaking skill. Of course, the students should receive some moral education. It will tell them what is the environment-friendly mean of transportation. Background information(背景信息) 1. Students: Junior high school students, Grade 1 2. Lesson Duration: 45mins Teaching Objectives(教学目标) By the end of the lesson, students should be able to: Knowledge objectives: (1)Students can use these words properly: train, bus, subway, ride, bike, car, etc. (2)Students can use these words properly: take the train/bus/subway…, by train/bus/subway…, and on a train/bus/subway… (3)Students can understand these sentences: ①—How do you get to school? —I ride my bike. ②—How does Mary get to school? —She takes the subway. Skill objectives: To improve Ss’ ability of listening, speaking. Moral objective: Through studying this lesson,students will know how to choose the most environment-friendly way to get somewhere.
