中国科学技术大学博士学位论文 中国科学技术大学博士学位论文 Abs仃act Abstract Heterogeneous Information Integration System(H11S)aims integrating autonomous and heterogeneous data prov ide uniform query interface for advanced appIications．This dissertation makes systematic and thorough study severaI key issues XML based HIIS． Firstly the problem of matching heterogeneous Document Type Deflnitions(DTDsl is studied in detail‘which is the basis oK further conflict resoIution and schema integration．To ascertain the corresponding elements attributes of heterogeneous DTDs．a series of transformation rules is presented DTDs into directed graphs，then based schema matching algorithm is propounded．In the algorithm．the naming similarity of pair of DTD nodes is calculated by semantic ontology．while their slmilarity is measured by Iocal matching decedents and relevant path similarities During the matching structured DTDs treated in bottom-up style， whereas graph structured DTDs expanded and transformed for matching Based the DTD matching algorithm，the algorithms f’or DTD clustering also propounded． Secondly the problem of heterogeneous XML schemata integration and concomitant query processing techniques studied．Through pre—integration stage．XML schemata converted into instances of semantic model，which is called IDMX modeI．Then the schema matching algorithm proposed before is used find semantically equivalent IDMX objects．By the semantic equivalence relationships．the semantic containment relationships of different IDMX obiects deduced．based which schema transformation algorithm is presented make heterOgeneous schemata more consistent In the schema integration algorithm，several conflict resolution rules designed get global schema．whilst the mapping functions froill the global schema locaI schemata obtained automatically．In query processing．a query language for IDMX model is propounded，and global query is decomposed several local queries by schema mapping functions and keyword mechanism．The final query res
