Safety Regulations for Foreign Teachers’ Apartment of Hebei University of Science and Technology (HEBUST) 1、The resident must observe Chinese laws or rules and relevant regulations formulated by HEBUST. 2、After signing the employment contract with the Foreign Affairs Office of HEBUST, the resident should fill in the registration form, then ask for the key to the apartment. It is not allowed to change to another apartment without permission. 3、The resident ought to save the water, electricity, gas and other kinds of energy during their stay. Any illegal or big power electric appliances should not be used in the apartment. It is forbidden to keep the air-conditioner on when leaving the premises. 4、The resident ought to take care of personal belongings such as passports and cash. Any valuables or a great amount of cash are not suggested to be kept in the room. 5、The resident should not change the facilities in the room. It is not allowed to change the locks of the apartment or make copies of the key for others or add another key without permission. 6、Keep the department clean and tidy and it is suggested to move the packaged rubbish into the dustbin and not to be piled in the public corridor or throw from the windows. 7、Making loud noises in the apartment and corridor is not allowed, lest the neighbors should be bothered. 8、When leaving for prolonged periods holiday, check if the doors and the windows are closed and power-off all the Home Appliances and turn off the gas valve.. 9、The resident should report to the Foreign Affairs Office immediately, once any equipment failure or safety problems are found. If there is gas leakage or in the event of fire, please shut off the power and leave the room immediately, call “119” for fire and “110” for alarm. 10、Should not accommodate others without permission. The visitor’s receiving time cannot exceed 10:30 pm. In case relatives or friends come to stay, report to FAO for approval; Party B should return to the university apart
