Module 3　Literature;Section Ⅱ　Grammar;never;Hardly;Seldom;强调主语;倒装 英语句子通常有两种语序: ;{;Ahead sat an old woman. 前面坐着一个老妪。 (完全倒装) Never have I seen such a terrible performance. 我从未见过如此糟糕的表演。 (部分倒装) ;注意：在“there + be”结构中的谓语动词有时不用be , 而用表示类似“存在”观念的其他不及物动词。如：live, stand, come, lie, enter, rise 和appear等。;There came shouts for help from the river. There lies a large wheat field in front of the house. Many years ago there lived an old man in the wooden house. ;2. 用于以there, here, now, then, out , in , up , down, away 等副词开头的句子里，表示强调.谓语动词是come,go ,be,run等。;Now comes your turn. Out rushed the children. In came our teacher. Here is the letter you have been looking forward to. Then came 8 years of the Anti Japanese War.;注意：这种倒装要求主语必须是名词且谓语动词是不及物动词。主语是人称代词时，主语和谓语语序不变。 e.g. Here it is. In he came. Away he went. ★ 这类倒装句式一般只用一般现在时和一般过去时。;3．地点状语提前，谓语是be，stand，sit，lie 等单个动词时，用完全倒装。 e.g. In front of the house stopped a police car. South of the village lies a lake. They arrived at a farmhouse, in front of which sat a small boy. ;Outside the entrance stood two police officers with guns. Under a big tree sat a fat man, half asleep. On the ground lay some air conditioners, which are to be shipped to some other cities. 地上放着一些空调,等着用船运到其他城市去。;4．为了强调句中的状语或表语，或为了保持句子平衡或使上下文衔接紧密，可将状语或表语置于句首，句子采用完全倒装。 e.g. Suddenly，before us appeared a man with a mask on his face. ;Lucky is he who has been enrolled into a famous university. ( adj. ＋link.v ＋s.) He is lucky who has been enrolled into a famous university. ;Gone forever are the days when the Chinese people had to use foreign oil. (p.p.+link.v + s.) The days are gone forever when the Chinese people had to use foreign oil. ;Among the goods are Christmas trees, flowers, candles and toys.
