翻译中视角的转移 教学目的要求： 认识并初步理解汉英翻译技巧中的正说反说技巧，并在实践中加以运用。 教学重点： 汉英翻译中的正说技巧，并能够根据提示灵活运用该技巧进行翻译，重点掌握表示正说常用的词汇。 教学难点： 如何使译文准确、地道。 Warm-up Practice: 1. 他的解释不能让人满意。 His explanation is really not satisfactory. 试比较: His explanation is far from satisfactory.（反说正译） 2. 黄鼠狼给鸡拜年，不安好心。 The weasel goes to pay respects to(表示敬意) the hen not with the best of intentions. 注: with the best of intentions 好心好意 试比较: The weasel([‘wi:z?l]) pays a courtesy(谦恭, 礼貌) to the hen with evil intent. (反说正译) 注: intent [u]n.; intention [u,c]n. 正说法：用英语形式上肯定的词表示中文意义上否定的意思 表示否定语气的动词 fail, miss, lack, refuse, withhold, refrain from, neglect, deny, overlook(忽视, 忽略), exclude... 1. 他不愿意接受那笔款子。（反说正译） He refused to take the money. 注: refuse sth. (refuse the invitation to the party) refuse to do sth. refuse sb. sth. (He cant refuse her anything.) 2. 他看了看桌上的点心，摇了摇头，一点也不吃。(反说正译) He ran his eyes over the refreshments/desserts on the table, but shook his head and refused to touch/eat anything. 注: run one’s eyes over sth. = throw a glance on/upon sth. = cast a glance at sth. = catch a glimpse of sth. 3. 他去机场接朋友，可是在人群中未见到他。(反说正译) He went to the airport to pick his friend up, but he missed him in the crowd. 注: miss sth. (miss a chance/an opportunity, miss the boat/bus/train) miss doing sth. (miss seeing the film) 4. 你为何知情不报？(反说正译) Why did you withhold(隐瞒) evidence? 注: The witness withheld some details from the judge. 证人对法官隐瞒了一些细节。 Why did you conceal what you knew of the case? 表示否定语气的名词： absence, failure, refusal, ignorance, neglect, exclusion ... 1. 司机开车时，千万不能心不在焉。(反说正译) A driver’s absence of mind is absolutely forbidden when driving. 注: the absence of mind (心不在焉) = absent-mindedness = mind wandering [反] 聚精会神 concentrate one’s attention/mind on/upon sth. = focus ones attention on/upon sth. = be absorbed in sth.
