IV.Language study: Step4: Help Ss understand some sentence structures. 1. Beautiful day,isn’t it? Point out ,on one hand,it’s a question in form,but a statement in function;on the other hand,it’s an elliptical sentence.The complete sentence should be “It’s a beautiful day,isn’t it?”. Then help Ss know how to use ellipsis. 2. I wish + that clause Point out the structure wish + Past Indefinite for a wish about something in the present;wish + Past Perfect for a wish about something in the past.
