Conclusion: The femoral systolic pressure is higher than aorta systolic
pressure. Both aortic and femoral arterial pressure were highly correlated to
C-F PWV. Changes in femoral arterial pressure induced by sympathetic
stimulation indicate lesions in coronary artery, however, its role in predicting
the severity of coronary lesions need to be further investigated. Changes in
PWV also only indicated coronary lesion, but can not be used to reflect the
severities of coronary artery disease.
KEY WORDS: Pulse wave velocity, central aorta
