Understanding of the data structure of triangular mesh file will directly affect the processing of 3D model. Commonly used model data file format is of great significance to the expansion of computer graphics. On the basis of detailed understanding of the 3D printing process, a detailed analysis of the commonly used data structure based on the triangular grid file. In view of the problem that the definition of the structure of the OFF model file is not standardized, This paper defines the data structure of the OFF model, presents a model for the transformation of ideas, designs a transformation algorithm, describes the model simplification algorithm, designs an experiment which 3D printing and draws conclusions.
