一 Analysis of the teaching material
The topic of this unit is to talk about holidays and vacations. Students will learn to talk about past events through indefinite pronouns and simple past tense of regular and irregular verbs. This class is the first lesson of this unit and it mainly focuses on the activities in the past , at the same time, to learn the sentences with indefinite pronouns.
二 Analysis of the students
My students are a group of active teens that are thirsty for knowledge. They like talking about new, difficult problems each other. And the topic of the unit is related to our life, I think my students will be interested in it.
三 Teaching aims and demands:
Knowledge objectives:
Students will be able to memorize the activities and the sentences: stayed at home , went to New York City, visited my uncle , went to summer camp , went to the mountains, went to the beach, visited museums.
1. Did you go anywhere on vacation?
Yes. I went to …/ I visited…/ I stayed at home.
2. Did you go with anyone?
Yes. I went with my friends / family / father / mother…
3. And did you do anything interesting?
Yes. I went fishing / played soccer / swam / took many photos…
4. Did everyone have a good time?
Oh, yes. Everything was excellent.
/ Everyone had a great time.
Ability objectives:
Students will be able to develop their skills in listening, speaking, reading and writing and at the same time, to use the phrases about the activities and the sentences correctly and properly.
Moral objectives:
Students will be able to get to know the importance of protecting environment and spending time with our friends and family.
