Is Tom smarter than Sam? Lisa sings more clearly than Tara 三、教学过程 Ⅰ. Lead-in 1. [Section A 1a] Ask Ss to write down as many adj and adv about people as possible. Check the answers Ss write and we can group them into some pairs, like: tall --- short;? thin --- heavy,? long hair --- short hair,?quietly---loudly old---young   Give Ss an example by comparing I and Li Xinyue e.g. I’m taller than Li Xinyue Li Xinyue has longer hair than me ?  ??Li Xinyue is younger than me . I’m heavier than ??Li Xinyue Ⅱ. Presentation Ask Ss to compare with their partners and find out the differences. e.g. She is heavier than me. I am more outgoing than her. She gets up earlier than me. I run faster than her. Ⅲ. . Listening [Section A 1b] listen to the recording. Ask Ss to number the twins. Check the answers. To help students recognize the target language in natural speech. Ⅳ. Pair work [Section A 1c] Point out the sample conversation in activity 1c.Talk about the others in class. Have students work in pairs The pair of students should stand and look at the others students around the class Students should talk about others. Eg A、that’s Jane isn’t it?
