-What will happen if they have the party today?
-If we have it today, half the class won’t come.

1) Enable students to talk about consequences with conditional adverbial clause.
2) Enable students to give suggestions with consequences sentences.
3. Moral Objects.
1) Look before you leap(Make students learn to think twice before they going to do sth)
2) Help each other and work together in our daily lives.

1. The vocabulary ( organize , have a party, half the class…).
2. The conditional adverbial clause (If…will…).
= 3 \* ROMAN III.Teaching difficult points:
1. Master the adverbial clause of condition with “if”.
2. Train the students’ communicative competence.

Pair work method, communicative learning method and task-based method.

Listening and speaking , discussing , cooperative learning method.

Step1. Revision
Enjoy a song.
Ask students what they want to say, review the sentence pattern “If…will…”
Step2. Leading
Ask students some questions about preparing for a party.
Look through the party rules to consolidate the adverbial clause of condition guided by “if”.
Step3. Finish the task in2a.
Listen and circle the correct answers to complete the sentences.
Step4. Finish the task in2b.
Listen again. Choose the correct short answer in the box to answer each question. Check the answers.
Step5. Reading
Ask students to read the listening material after the tape, pay attention to students’ pronunciation and intonation.
Step6. 2c.Pair work
Role-play a conversation between Nelly and Mark.
Step7. 2d.Fas
