Teaaching aims:learn to express future with be going to do,want to be
Master target language
Teaching key points and difficults:
1,new words:cook,doctor,pilot,actor,
basketball player,scientist,engineer,
computer programmer,bus driver,
Pianist,violinist……
2,sentence patterns:
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be an actor.
How are you going to do that?
I’m going to take acting lessons.
Teaching preparations:computer, megaphone, press card,
Sticky note
Teaching procedures:
Step1:Lead In
Let Ss watch a video, then lead the students to say:
What are you going to be when you grow up?
Step2:Presentation
1, Play an English game!
Look at the three key words and guess the name of the famous people and their jobs.
2,Teach new words and phrases.
Ss read these words and phrases correctly and loudly.
3,Group showHave a match
Ss use differents forms to display new words and phrases.
4,Ask and answer
Teach target languages.
What do you want to be when you grow up?
I want to be a basketball player.
How are you going to do that?
I’m going to practice basketball every day.
Grammar points:(1)Want to be…...(2) Be going to do……
5,Do listening .
Play the recorder twice.
The first time ,let Ss match the items, the second time ,let Ss fill the blanks. Later,check the answers.
Step3:Consolidation
Let Ss interview Have a match.
A student acts as reporter with a megaphone and press card,
another student acts as interviewee, then ask and answer using
master target language.
Step4:Expansion
Wish wall
Hand out sticky notes, let Ss write their wishes on them .
Then ask several students to say their wishes by coming to the front.
Later get Ss to put their wishes on the wish wall
Teacher summarizes.
Step5:Summary
Get Ss to sum up what they learned in this lesson.
