Unit 7 Will people have robots ?
Teaching Materials:
The topic of this unit is about robots and imagine their future that will be . This is interesting for students. I’ll teach this section following these. This lesson, I’ll teach Section A(3a—3c). I can give a good chance to consolidate the key vocabulary and sentences.
Teaching and learning goals:
In this lesson, students will suppose about robots. Then they will use the same sentence structure to make predictions about what they will be and the country will be. By accomplishing predicting, students could get conceptions of their own futureand the future of te country. Also it could attract
their interests and broaden their horizon.
Teaching Important and Difficult points:
Difficult points:
1) Understanding the conversitions and completing the tasks .
Important points :
1) Remembering the new words .Such as robot , will , they’ll , won’t =will not ,on computer ,on paper ,in the futuer ,be free , in 100 years , live to be 200 years old
2) Master the grammar,especially: “ there be” and “there will be”.
3) Master the key sentences: Such as “How will the world be different in the future, 100years from now?” “People will have robots in their homes .” “ Will kids go to school ? No , they won’t .” “ They’ll study at home” “ Will people live to be 200 years old? Yes , they will .” “ There will be …”
Teaching and learning steps:
Step 1:
Ask the students to read the dialogue of section A. Two students will work in a group. Then I will ask several pairs to act it out in front of the class.
A: Do you think there will be robots in people’s homes?
B: Yes, there will. I think every home will have a robot.
A: Will kids go to school?
B: Kids won’t go to school. They’ll study at home on computers.
