Review the superlative forms of adjectives and adverbs.
Students are able to write a composition about their favorite places.

Teaching Procedures
Step1 Lead in
At first, play a guessing game by telling some features of Xi’
It has the friendliest people.
It is one of the most crowded cities.
It has the most beautiful places.
It is one of the oldest cities in China.
Ask some Ss to read the sentences and then tell the purpose of this class is to write something about Xi’
Step 2 Revision
Get the Ss to tell the places they like to go to best. Help Ss to speak out the qualities of the place to eat food, the place to buy things and the place to have fun. Then get them to write down the simple sentences about each place they choose to go to.
For example,
I like Hai Di Lao Hot Pot because it has the best service and it is the closest to my home.
Ask some Ss to read and tell what they like best.
Step 3 Reading and Writing
Ask Ss to read the short article about Green
After reading, help the Ss to analyze the reading material.
Ask : Where does the writer like to go?
Why does she/he go there?
What can she do there?
Ss will understand the writing structure better.
Then get the Ss to reread the article again. Try to find some useful sentences or words they can use in their writings.
Step 4 Writing
Since the Ss have talked about their favorite places a lot, they can write something about the best places in our city. If time permits, 10 minutes for the Ss to wri
