T:Today we’ll learn Unit 8 Have you read Treasure Island yet? We’ll learn to talk about recent events and experiences. As for grammar, we’ll learn Present Perfect Tense.
Step 2Presentation.
T: Do you know what my hobby is? Well, I like reading books. My favorite book is Journey to the West . What’s it like? It’s exciting. Here I have some other books. What are they? Let’s have a look. Teach the names of the books.
Have you heard of these books? Open your books and look at 1a.Check the books you have heard of. Then let the students to say the sentences like “I have already heard of… I haven’t heard of …yet.”
Of all these books, I have already read Treasure Island. Ask “Have you read Treasure Island yet? Help the students to answer “Yes, I have. I have already read it./No, I haven’t. I haven’t read it yet.”
Step 3 Practice.
1.Pairwork, then chain drill.
