By adding phasechangematerials into the col lector/ storage/ evaporator, the solar energy is storied as latentheat of solidliquid phasematerials. By making use of the solar energy as lowtemperature source to produce hotw ater, the thermal efficiency of heat pump system can be signifi cantly increased; moreover, the operating unstability of the heat pump system caused by interval solar energy can be drastically solved. Though the initial investment is increased, the system is better than the existing water heaters in the market in term s ofw hether saving energy or saving costs.
