ABSTRACT Tianjin Harbor Economic Area consists of Tianjin Lingang Industrial Port and Tianjin Port Industry Area, is one of the national recycling economy demonstration zone and Binhai New Area nine functional areas, position in constructing equipment manufacturing cotype port economic of north China, depending on port logistics to develop equipment manufacturing industry. Port is the soul and the key of Harbor Economic Area. The prosperity of port logistics played an important role in the Harbor Economic Area even in the whole Binhai New Area. But nowadays, the construction and the development of Lingang was still in its infancy, the theory and experiences which guiding port logistics development was insufficient. This article using qualitative and quantitative analysis aimed at putting forward some reference suggestions for the development of Lingang port logistics. main research contents ： 1. This paper introduced the development status of Tianjin Harbor Economic Area and Dagukou port, operation and management mode of Dagukou port, main plan indexes and information of current public port. In addition, this paper researched into the existing issues in Dagukou port and discovered that Dagukou port shall maintain its healthy sustainable development by establishing multi-modal transportation mechanism, extending business range, improving overall service quality, providing more policy and fund support to Tianjin Harbor Port Group Co., Ltd and building professional port. 2.
