The re- sults showed that DMYMck for all the orphological and physiological characters of tobacco tested after 30d and 45d of transplanting,including the leaf blade length, breadth and areas, the entire dry-weight above ground, the dry-weight of roots per plant, the nu bers of first and sec- ond lateral roots per plant, the dia eter of first lateral root, the ste -base thickness and root ac- tivity. Liquid-fil ulching had significant effects on coordinating the growth relations between the aboveground and underground of tobacco. The root /shoot ratio was YMckDM after 30d of transplanting, and ckYMDM after 45d.
