基于视觉替代的助盲系统研究
RESEARCH OF TRAVEL-AID FOR THE BLLIND BASED ON VISION INSTEAD
ABSTRACT
The most pervasive travel-aid for the blind is the White Cane and they use White Cane touching the road to explore the road environment. Another way is using seeing-eye guide dogs, but the seeing-eye guide dog is scarce and expensive, so it is not universal. With the two methods above, the user can only acquire forward route, but they can not cognize the surrounding environment, so the electronic Travel-Aid for blind come forth. At present the electronic Travel-Aid for the blind is expensive and the training of human-computer interaction takes a long time to achieve. Based on the existing electronic Travel Aid system, a new electronic Travel Aid system is proposed which is based on image processing and objects recognition.
This paper takes the visual instead theory and technology as starting point and studies the method and the technical route of visual instead. By analyzing and comparing the status of Travel-Aid for blind, the paper presents and summarizes the present structure model of the Travel-Aid for blind. The Travel-Aid for blind is expensive and can not be a direct expression of the environmental information at this stage. Aim at these inadequacies, Travel-Aid for blind is proposed based on the laser positioning technology for the concept and principle.
Surrounding the object recognition problem of the indoor environment, the paper analyzes and explores the Travel-Aid for blind. Because the Travel-Aid for blind at this stage gives most of the obstacles prompt, there is no specific information of obstacles. Based on the results of the analysis of the Travel-Aid for blind at this stage, this paper presents the method of identifying
space objects based on a laser spot located in the region and the Imperial palace chart icon
labeling, then the feasibility of this approach is analyzed and experimentation verification is studied.
