Social capital refers to the ability that the organization members get scarce resources and obtain benefit based on trust-based network of relationships. Social capital can promote the exchange of resources between individuals and organizations by affecting the transfer of knowledge, thereby improving the behavior and performance of the network members. Based on this paper, we study the effect of social capital on enterprise innovation performance. From the following aspects to elaborate this issue: First of all, we describe the social capital theory, further the meaning and the classification of corporate social capital. Secondly, we introduce the concept of innovation networks, as the vector of social capital, it is indispensable to analyze the effect of innovation networks. Then we introduce the concept of absorptive ability, as the intermediary variable when we study between the social capital and innovation performance, as well as the concept of innovation performance. We analyze and explain the mechanism of action from social capital comprehensively. An empirical study on innovation network will describe the size, density, centrality, relational strength properties of the network structure to explore the cooperation frequency between the various subjects. The chapter also concludes the defects of innovation networks in pharmaceutical industry in Shijiazhuang currently, as the same time targeting a number of recommendations and measures. Finally, as the core of this study, we research the effect of social capital on enterprise innovation performance from different dimension. We find that internal social capital and the social ties of external social capital can obviously improve the enterprise innovation performance. Overall, social capital makes
