◇中山失訾砸L学位论文Research ◇中山失訾砸L学位论文 Research on the Spatial Distribution of Kaiping Diaolou Architecture in Guangdong Abstract Kaiping Diaolou js One of the young and unique members of Chinese traditional architecture which used to protect the robber and flood．It was the result of the mixing of modem Chinese and Western culture from the nongovemment way．Not only it has the extremely distinctive style and the high degree of cultural and artistic value，but also it is one of the living witnesses of the development of Kaiping society．Its development reflects the culture concepts which are not aftaid of leaping orders， breaking specifications，opening，mixing and using without any limits，creating new culture concepts not mind seeking stranges．It is worth for Kaiping to inherit during the period of reforming and developing．This thesis is basic on a large number of the investigation materials，which refer to a great part of villages and towns of Kaiping． Using method of space study of human geography,the article is discussing the characteristic of spatial distribution of Kaiping Diaolou，which are assembled to the Valley of Tanjiang River in the central section of Kaiping where the Diaolou are provided with diversified architecture pattern and mostly western pattern．While Diaoloa architecture are exiguity and with simplex pattern in the north and south part of Kaiping．The article points out that the spatial distribution of Diaolou architecture influenced by the nature and human geography causation which need Diaolou to prevent the flood and guard against the bandit． The thesis is devided jnto five parts：The】st chapter has explained the concept of Diaolou，Kaiping Diaolou and the local architecture，while summarizing the study about Diaolou and local architecture．The 2nd chapter puts forward the research project And then the body of the thesis js the 3rd part which summarized the chariteristics of Kaiping Diaolou architecture，while the 4th chapter analyzes the causation of the charac
