Study on rapid detection of aflatoxin B in soybean oil

Abstract: In order to explore the optimal method of afl atoxin detection in soybean oil , a method of
enzyme-linked immunosorbent assay (ELISA) was developed for the rapid detection of afl atoxin
B1 in soybean oil through the comparison of ELISA and high performance liquid chromatography
(HPLC). The results showed that the best detection conditions were as follows: speed of oscillator
200 r/min, oscillating time 15 min, color reaction time 5 min and the pH 4. Under these conditions,
the content of aflatoxin B1 in soybean oil was 2.33 μg/kg, with average recovery of 99.5% and
RSD of 0.8%. The method was simple, rapid, accurate and reliable, with high recovery and
precision.
