DOI :10.13922/ki.cjovst.2008.06.011 28  6                              2008 11、12 CHINESE JOURNAL OF VACUUM SCIENCEAND TECHNOLOGY 535   * 周 晓  张殿业 张耀平 (   610031) Numerical Simulation of Blockage Rate and Aerodynamic Drag of High-Speed Train in Evacuated Tube Transportation * Zhou Xiao , Zhang Dianye, Zhang Yaoping (College of Logistics, Southwest J iaotong University , Chengdu 610031, China )   Abstract The influence of the blockage rate on the acrodynamic drag of a high-speed train in evacuated tube trans- portation (ETT) as numerically simulated, ith a dedicated soft are package for numerical simulation of fluid dynamics called FLUENT.The turbulent model satisfies the 2D, viscous, stable and incompressible Navier-Stockes equation and the k -εt o-equation.Six different blockage rates and four specific speeds of the train ere calculated in the simulation ith finite volume approximation.The simulated results sho that the blockage rate significantly affects the aerodynamic drag of the train in an evacuated tube.For example, the larger the blockage rate, the higher the aerodynamic drag.A relative small blockage rate affects the aerodynamic drag only a little, hereas a large blockage rate sharply increases the aerodynamic drag.
