Abs tract: It is d ifficu lt to syn thesize the vow el in the speech synthesis, espec ia lly in synthesiz ing diphthong in
speech signa l procession. T here is a transition in the diphthong, furtherm ore the VTFR changes cont inuou sly when
a diphthong is uttered, m aking it very d ifficu lt to get pitch period and m ake VTFR. A n effective m ethod is in it iated
in th is paper, w hich can get p itch periods o f diphthong o f a g iven person. A nd using the p itch periods, the d iph-
thong of the g iven person can be synthesized veritab ly.
