Briefly including： （1）State the meaning, characteristic and importance of the police’s ideological and political education work. As the special type of our Communist Party’s education, it has specific means. As its works nature is political, its education content is temporal spirit and its object is characteristic, it is very important to improve and develop the business of the police. （2）State the police’s ideological and political education problem and its reasons. In the new period，this work exist many contradictions and problems, which cannot in accord with the actual requirement, and it is get in the way of the construction and development of the police. Such as the pertinence is not strong, the incentive mechanism is not wide, the operating mechanism is not active and so on, and these are serious influence the result of actual work. The reason is multifaceted. It is not only include the objective factor such as economic, society and development of technology and so on, but also include the subjective factor, such as the internal organs do not pay attention to the work and the overall quality isn’t high. (3) State enhancing and improving effective ways of the police’s ideological and political education. In actual work, many valuable experience and practice is come out, such as insist on the police’s ideological and political education work is the “life-line” of police work, insist on the party’s absolutely leadership, to do the police’s ideological and political work base on the nature, task and type and so on.
