Abstract
With over ten years of development, W, a Sino-foreign joint petrochemical company, greatly improves management crossing multiple aspects. However, considering challenges brought along by innovation of newly established enterprises and outmoded ones in China, Ws advantages are decreasing. Aimed at improving management and achieving strategic goals, W integrates existing asset management information system (EAM).
They create a specific matrix project team responsible for project planning and implementation. During implementation, each phase cannot completely meet scheduled requirements: workflow planning is only discussed without final decision; some team members are lack of enthusiasm and responsibility; no appropriate criteria of assessment are available for evaluating entire project, which blocked project validation. Through studying features of matrix project team management and analyzing W case layer by layer, it comes out that project achievement management in an enterprise is impossibly isolated but dependent on comprehensive achievement management of the company. Then both existing achievement evaluation system in W and project achievement management are explored, and defects in achievement evaluation system of W and problems in project achievement evaluation are revealed. Also, this paper proposes suggestion about achievement management in enterprise project management from several aspects, such as enterprise achievement management system, project member structure, project organization management and project achievement management.
