Abstract In order to investigate the inf luence of f oundation pit excavation on the earth pressure
spatial distribution law of f lexible retaining structure and to provide ref erences f or the desig n and
saf ety protection of f oundation pit the finite element model of f oundation pit ex cavation w as
established by ABA Q U S and the inf luence of the f oundation pit ex cavation on spatial earth
pressure of retaining structure monolithic w all T he inf luences of diff erent stiff ness w ith and
w ithout support s diff erent ex cavation depths on the earth pressure distribution and the
displacement of diff erent part s in retaining w all w ere considered T he threedimensional earth
pressure distribution of the retaining structure w as compared w ith the tw o dimensional data and
the necessity of threedimensional finite element simulation w as verified T he result s show that
monolithic w all active earth pressure zone appears a saddle shaped distribution and the
inf luence
