3.5 Job Design 工作设计 3.5 Job Design All the theories of employee motivation suggest that jobs can be designed to increase motivation and performance. Job design is the process of organizing work into the tasks required to perform a specific job. There are five approaches to job design: work simplification, job rotation, job enlargement, job enrichment, and team-based job design. 3.5 Job Design 1.Work Simplification 工作简单化 Work simplification assumes that work can be broken down into simple, repetitive tasks that maximize efficiency. 2.Job Rotation 工作轮换 Job rotation does not change the actual job content, but it rotates employees from one job to another after a specified period of time. 3.5 Job Design 3.Job Enlargement 工作扩大化 Job enlargement (horizontal job loading) increases the number of tasks an individual performs, thereby increasing the diversity of a job. 4.Job Enrichment 工作丰富化 Job enrichment (vertical job loading) increases the depth of a job by expanding it vertically. 5.Team-based Job Designs 基于团队的工作设计 Team-based job designs focus on giving a team, rather than an individual, a whole and meaningful piece of work to do.
