Target language:
It is easy to get to school.
But for the students in one small village in china, it is difficult.
There is a very big river between their school and village.
Many of the students and villagers never leave the village.
Can their dream come true?

Improve Ss reading ability .

Ss learn to cherish,to love,to be thankful and try to help others.
Improve Ss’awareness of teamwork.

Enable students to understand the article by some kinds of reading skills such as scanning ,skimming.etc.It’s hard for students to distinguish the usages of like when it’s come to different context .

Talk about how to get to school, the distance between two places and the time it takes.

Learn the new words and get to know the meaning of them.
Get the students have some preparation for today’s passage.
Check on what students have learned before class.
Do a quiz.
Do some exercises.
Step III listening skimming
Play a game.
Let students listen to the recording of the text to get the standard pronunciation and intonation .let the students scan the article to find its main idea and complete chart with proper information.
