Independent Variable: time, distance,speed, position, temperature, pressure,etc ? Signal classification: depends on the nature of the indepen-dent variables and the value of the function defining the signal. ? According to the numbers of independent variables, signals can be classified into 1-dimensional ( 1-D ),2-D,to M-D. ?
