T he results show ed that the content of C, Mn and Cu had important effect on obdurability of pipeline steels, and the microstructural characteristic of X7 and X8 pipeline steels w ere dominative acicular ferrite, some granular bainite and a little of low- er bainite; effective grain size, structural homogeneity and the content of bainite w ere most important parameters to the microstructure; w ith the decreasing of effective grain size, increasing of bainite con- tent and structural homogeneity , high grade p
