Teaching Process and Methods Learn to talk about recent events through a reading meterial based on Robinson Crusoe. Teaching emotional attitude and valucd Educate students to be brave and independent. Teaching Key Points重点 1.Learn to talk about recent events happened in daily life using the target language. 2.Improve students’ reading skill and cooperative competence. Teaching Dificult Point难点 How to improve students’ fast-teading and integrated skills. Teaching Aids: The English textbook and a projector. 教学过程 Teaching Steps: Step1 Revision and Lead-in Greet the class as usual and check theri progress. Yesterday, we learned the Present Perfect Tence: Have you……yet? Yes, I’ve already…… Have you……? No,I haven’t ……yet. Now who can make conversation using this structures? Have you learned the new words by yourself yet? Yes, I have learned the new words by myself. Have you read the passage yet? No, I haven’t finished reading yet. Ok, Let’s read the new passage this class. Step II Pre-reading T:Have you read the book Robinson Crusoe? Ss:Yes. T: Good! Let’s look at the picture together. Who are the two men in the picture? Ss:They are Robinson Crusoe and Friday. T:Great! Now, Let’s read the passage together. Step III While-reading 1.Fast reading, Read the passage for the first time.Underline the new words for you. Guess the meanings of them, you can discuss them with your parener. Show the new words on the blackboard, and ask stuedents to read them correctly. Then ask students to do exercise 3b. Find words that have these meanings. Check the answers with them. 2.Careful
