Abstract: The effective way of solving the proble of so any ashgas accidents in coal ine in our country is to detect ethane. ,
which isthe ain ele ent of ashgas. , then thedensity of ashgas can be obtained indirectly. But ost achines used to detect the density
of ashgas have the weakness of too big and too difficult to ove. Ai ed at the situation above, based on the characteristics of ultralow-
power and extensive peripherals on chip of MSP430 series, a portable dangerous gaswarner is designed to detect ethane, whose icro con-
trol unit is MSP430F135. It can detect the density of ethane in coal ine at realti e, and can start ajoint warning function of buzzing, flash
and vibration when the density is above the warning value. This warning function has distinctive originality and i portance.
