Da,i B. K. Cui Decock andPhellinus mori Y. C. Dai B. K. Cui were the pathogens. Both fungi belong to the Hymenochaetaceae. Fom itpi oriapunicata caused a butt and root rot disease on Cotinus coggygria, whilePhellinusmori caused a heart rot disease onM orus alba. Illustrated descriptions of the two pathogenswere given in detail based on thematerials from China, and the cultural characters of the two pathogenswere provided.
