Corre lation function of r ingwidth index wit h climatic factor were obtained by tepby tep regre ion, which could pr ovide a ba i for tudying the growt h of Pinus taiwanensis and for con tructing the hi torically climatic chang e of Huang han region. T reering growth analy i how that the pine had a wider range of mean en itivit y of treering grow th. T he treering gr owth mo del how that the key factor affecting diameter growth w er e the olar radiatio n at the duration of 10 ! and the accumulated temper ature in current year, w ith no relat ion to precipitatio n. T he treer ing growth wa trongly correlat ed with the climatic factor in current y ear, po itiv ely with the radiatio n in A pril and July, and neg a tively w ith the average temperature in April. T her e w a no ignificant relation hip wit h precipitation in curr ent year.
